How about the Homeschool Legal Defense website? Otherwise ask some other homeschoolers or a co-op in your state.

You need to go to the Board of Education and pick it up. You should call them as it’s summer and they aren’t always there during normal business hours. Good luck!

I can’t find *anything* online about a Declaration of Intent to Home School Form for SC. Are you sure you need one? If so, it’s probably through the district you live in and perhaps not online at all. Not all states have a specific form that has to be signed.

According to the HSLDA website, no notice is required in SC. However, they did have this to say:

“five-year-olds may be excused from kindergarten with submission of written notice to the school district” - I’m assuming this is if you plan to enroll in public for first grade.

Be careful listening to public school officials - too often, they aren’t up-to-date on homeschooling laws in the state and will ask for more than you are required to give. If you have questions or problems, contact your state homeschool organization (see links below) or the HSLDA.
