ahh, m!:) asked: Ok, so i have a problem at school. Im a junior in high school and found out i have anxiety and i get panic attacks almost everyday at school. I start freaking out and scared that i might get a panic attack during a certain class then i end up getting them anyways. I went to my doctor and she didn’t help. I’ve been going to see a number of counselors too. But going to psychiatrists and counselors interferes with school because i have to miss school to go, therefor i have a number of absences. I missed school today because i cant take it anymore. Everyday the same thing. I go to school, i usually try to do my work, but im so afraid of getting a panic attack that it usually ends up happening anyway then all im thinking about is the time and how many minutes until the bell rings so i can just get out of that class.Or sometimes i ask to go to the restroom and stay there the whole class period because when i get a panic attack i start to shake and i feel the urge to go to the restroom so bad. And i don’t do my school work, so i have to take it home for home work. Also when we do tests and stuff i know im not doing my best because i rush through it and i just cant concentrate or i didn’t learn anything. ahhh, i cant take this anymore. So today when i woke up i started crying because i know that next week we have our final exams and their a huge percent of our grade. i cannot stay in a class the whole day and i know im gonna do horrible and fail. This is my junior year its the most important and i cant fail. So i told my mom if she withdraw me and home school me but she says no. She thinks that there is nothing wrong with me because when i am home i don’t get panic attacks and she thinks its all in my head and im doing this for attention, but im not! She tells me that if i don’t want to go to school that’s my choice and shes not gonna pay for me to get home schooled that if i drop out, i drop out. What should i do?? I cant go to school…. but i still want to get an education.
thanks to those who took the time to read that.
and please any advice?

Brad asked: Ive moved interstate and around the world quite a bit, so I’m a few years behind everyone else. I wont complete year 12 until I’m 19 if i stay at a regular high school. But If i choose to finish high school through home schooling is there any way i could complete it faster? Celebrity’s always seem to somehow finish school really fast despite there busy schedules, I’m really busy too, and i often don’t have enough time for my school work.

__A_YAHOO_USER__ asked: As far as colleges and such go, do they accept home schoolers? Or will I be looked down upon because of my home schooling?

oohhbother asked: All the testimonials from people saying “I am X-years ahead!” are a bit tiresome and not exclusive to home-schooling.

7thDay Sinner Anonymous asked: who think that home schooled children have no friends and no social life actually prove this to be true? By proof do you personally know people who do? I home schooled my daughter though the 2nd grade because we just moved, and my daughter had friends. And for those of you who think home schooling makes a child have no friends are you telling me that school is the only setting possible for a child to learn to inter act with other children?
Poop Master: I hope your experience for home schooling is the exception and not the rule.

Lauren asked: If a child is home schooled how can we be sure they aren’t being abused? How can we be sure they are learning what is necessary? How can we be certain that the child is not being indoctrinated with hate and intolerance?

Pink Dragon asked: I just don’t know if I like public school anymore and was wondering if anyone who has done home-schooling or was home-schooled can tell if it is a better choice or not? Should I send him to public school or have my mother home-school him?

turtle asked: I am homeschooling my 16 year old son this year to catch him up because he’s very behind. He intends to go back to high school next year. What do I need to do to make sure he gets credit for the classes he takes while at home?
