I wish I was home-schooled. Public school is like hell for me. Popular girls, mean teachers, think-they-are-all-that guys, loads of gossip, drama, I JUST HATE ALL OF IT! And, actually, I don’t want to have friends, I like to be independent. My mom will probably say no, but I want to try anyway. So is there anyway to convince my mom to let me home-school???????

About home schooling can those of you?

who think that home schooled children have no friends and no social life actually prove this to be true? By proof do you personally know people who do? I home schooled my daughter though the 2nd grade because we just moved, and my daughter had friends. And for those of you who think home schooling makes a child have no friends are you telling me that school is the only setting possible for a child to learn to inter act with other children?
Poop Master: I hope your experience for home schooling is the exception and not the rule.

Should males be able to take high school home economics if they want to?

At my private school, guys are not allowed to take home economics. I have no interest in home economics since I want to take speech. However, a bunch of my friends want to take home economics but can’t. I really want to help them get their rights because I feel like the school is kind of being a bit sexist. Is there anything I can do to solve this problem legally based on prejudice?

What do you find to be the most challenging about home schooling?

You are all going to get sick of me asking questions…hehe

I asked yesterday about home schooling— my husband and I have been talking about it a lot and I have been talking to my friends about it. Also a women from Church used to be an evaluator.

Today a 2nd grader told my 6 yr old son that he was going to “kill him” at recess. That is the last straw for me. I cannot let my children be exposed to abuse like that.

I am wondering what you all find to be the most challenging aspect of home schooling and how you work it out.

Thank You all for your support.

If your home schooled child wanted to go to public school, would you let them?

I’m just curious :)
I have a lot of friends that are home schooled, and a few of them desperately want to go to public school, but their parents won’t let them (for various reasons). Some of the reasons I don’t really understand very well.

So– would you let them go to public school? Why or why not?
But why not? Just so he could graduate a year early?
