I’m curious about this entire home school thing. I’m not considering doing it but how does it work?
Where do you get the books?
Do your parents do all the grading?
Do you even have to do it, can you just act like you did it?
Can you do home school if you are planning on going to college?
Why would you choose home school?
I go to a Private School if that helps you compare.

My husband is coming home from Iraq in November and my daughter and I will be be moving back up to Drum to meet him We will only be there for 3 months , then off we go to FT Benning yet another move we go. Mean while my 7 year old has been in so many schools that I have now lost count, I am trying to avoid switching her schools right in the middle for 3 months then switching again to go to Benning. I truly think home schooling her while we are in FT Drum just until we get to Benning when we will be there for at least 5 years. My question about home schooling a 2nd grader. Where do I get the books to teach her and do you have to pay a fee to home school. I have just the basic idea of how this all works but just a few blurry areas. I think this is the way I want to go but I am still unsure Any suggestions or comments would be great.

Where is the best place to get books for home schooling , used ?
