My brother had a problem with his ex when she took the kids out of school to homeschool them. Unfortunately she worked full time, so I don't see how she could possibly have homeschooled them. I would tell her that you are concerned, could you see some lesson plans and progress charts? Tell the local school inspector and social services. And remember that both social services and the school inspectors are lazy, so you've got to keep on their tails. My in laws home school and there is a state teacher that comes every year to monitor progress.
