You could try asking her to get you some extra Latin books so you can practice more at home, but if she's decided, there's probably not much you can do about it. Your efforts are probably better used in helping your mum create a homeschooling plan you can live with. Try looking at Classical ed books, since she's interested in Latin. I like the Well Trained Mind, but I have the Latin Centered Curriculum on my wishlist. Rosie_0801

How idle is the threat? I certainly wouldn't want to teach Latin...totally out of my scope of expertise.

What if you got tutored in it, or agreed to take it over the summer or at a local community college? K

When someone 'decides' to do something, they have reasons. You can easily find
out the reason. You can easily find out what your mom could accept from you
in order for you to stay in school. And, you need a list of your reasons for
a) why you want to go to school and b) why you don't want to be at home.
This is a family 'war' without guns. This is a dispute. Your reasons
must appeal to her, not to you. If you say 'I want to go to school so
I can meet all my friends...that's zero to you'. If you say 'I don't want
to be at home 'cause you'll watch me all the time...zero to you'.
If, however, you say 'I want to go to school so I can take 'debate,
or photography(something she approves of and you like OK...now
you're winning. If you, however, say 'I don't want to be at home
'cause I get hung up on TV and internet at home and waste time,
you might win. In other words, you gotta work on it, if it's
important, and I'd think it was. Definitely your opportunities
at school outrank what you'd have at home, right? 2FollowHim

If the only reason you have is that you don't want to do it, you are unlikely to convince her. Parents get used to kids complaining and ignore most of them--especially those that seem to just be whining.
Based on the reason you give for her homeschooling you, it sounds like the only way to convince her would be to take your academics super seriously so that you are getting higher grades. hsfromthestart
