Does anyone know if you can get food stamps in NY if you are home schooling your children?

I live in Louisiana and I get food stamps and SSI disability. They have never asked WHERE the kids go to school just what grade they are in. I have told them we home school and it was never a big deal they would just say ok and move on or if they are intrested they ask about home schooling. renee70466
