I am a certified teacher who is currently home schooling my children. I know this is not giving me actual classroom experience, but I am getting experience teaching 4th and 6th grade curriculum. I am also continuously doing my own professional development online. In my state, if you home school your children, you are legally considered an employee of the home school program you go through (Home Life Academy, Gateway, etc). I’m trying to figure out how to put this on my resume. Any advice?

Can anyone suggest a good Freshman Physical Science textbook to use for home school?

I asked this in the Home School section and received no answers. I am looking for a good solid but easy to follow text book.
Thanks

I will be working with grades 8 through 11 and I want to get suggestions on the best place to purchase books/learning materials and end of year tests. I’d also like to know if anyone has had any problems with transferring credits from home schooling to a public school. Any information and suggestions on home schooling is appreciated. Thank you.

I just moved from North Carolina and not very happy with the public schools here either. My child’s education seems unimportant to them. He has a high IQ and is ADD/ADHD and I want a better education for him then what he is recieving. I am looking at home schooling and would like to chat with people who already educate their children in their homes.
