Carla asked:
I am righting a story, and I don’t know where they would go to school. Like, does the foster home have its own teachings, like home schooling? Or do they go to their city’s school district?
Foster homes, as in like an adoption center. Where kids wait for people to take thm into their care..

I will be in 9th grade, should i go to high school or go to this program where a tutor/teacher gives me my work once a week and then i have to manage my time at home and complete the work before the next class which is once a week? I have been home schooled since 3rd grade and love it. We are just trying to make the right choice.

Kat asked:
My niece is 16 and home schooled, and ready to graduate. According to standardized tests that she took, she at post-high school levels all round. My question is, how would you reflect this on her transcript for college? I don’t think she completed all the credits and hours needed for official graduation, but she has tested out. What do we put on her transcripts?

My daughter wants to enroll in a home school program but she is in gifted at her school. If we take her out of school and we place her in a home school program, well she loose her space in the gifted program. If not what program can I place her in and if so how will they know where to place her. What programs are there available for her that have gifted and are virtual or that I don’t have to actually teach her. Just like Abeka Academy or Florida Virtual School.

All the Home School children that I met seem to be 3 grades smarter than Public School children, I noticed this because I have worked in Daycare and Kindergarden.

I’ve heard that home school kids are not as social as kids who go to school, but they’re smarter then the kids who do go to school

i_come_from_under_the_hill asked:
I know that it is legal for parents who home school their children to issue a diploma when they meet the graduation requirements set out for them, but does anyone know where we can find this in writing for the sake of keeping things moving smoothly at my graduation in May? Can anyone actually cite a law that makes this legal or illegal?
