ahh, m!:) asked: Ok, so i have a problem at school. Im a junior in high school and found out i have anxiety and i get panic attacks almost everyday at school. I start freaking out and scared that i might get a panic attack during a certain class then i end up getting them anyways. I went to my doctor and she didn’t help. I’ve been going to see a number of counselors too. But going to psychiatrists and counselors interferes with school because i have to miss school to go, therefor i have a number of absences. I missed school today because i cant take it anymore. Everyday the same thing. I go to school, i usually try to do my work, but im so afraid of getting a panic attack that it usually ends up happening anyway then all im thinking about is the time and how many minutes until the bell rings so i can just get out of that class.Or sometimes i ask to go to the restroom and stay there the whole class period because when i get a panic attack i start to shake and i feel the urge to go to the restroom so bad. And i don’t do my school work, so i have to take it home for home work. Also when we do tests and stuff i know im not doing my best because i rush through it and i just cant concentrate or i didn’t learn anything. ahhh, i cant take this anymore. So today when i woke up i started crying because i know that next week we have our final exams and their a huge percent of our grade. i cannot stay in a class the whole day and i know im gonna do horrible and fail. This is my junior year its the most important and i cant fail. So i told my mom if she withdraw me and home school me but she says no. She thinks that there is nothing wrong with me because when i am home i don’t get panic attacks and she thinks its all in my head and im doing this for attention, but im not! She tells me that if i don’t want to go to school that’s my choice and shes not gonna pay for me to get home schooled that if i drop out, i drop out. What should i do?? I cant go to school…. but i still want to get an education.
thanks to those who took the time to read that.
and please any advice?

Debbie7865 asked: Okay so I am in 7th grade and I have been home schooled my whole life. My mom is thinking about putting me and my sister (she’s in 7th grade also) into public school for 8th grade. I’m scared because I’ve never experienced it before and because I might get picked on. Help! Any tips or comments?

saturdays child asked:
This is just one persons opinion, and maybe I’m prejudiced. Every time I meet kids that are home schooled their parents are control freaks. I think any excuse like public school is dangerous is just a crock. The reality is those parents can’t stand the idea of loosing complete control over their kids for several hours each day. What do you think?

Lauren C asked: In my Freshman year of high school i had to home school. I didn’t get grades, I just got pass-fail.
I get very good grades and its always been a dream of mine to become valid Victorian. Does having home schooled this year ruin my chances?

Liberal Till I Die! asked: I say yes!
Why are parents so desperate to keep their kids at home?
Parents who home school - Do you beat your kids and have to keep them away to hide bruises?
Private schools are terrible and kids don’t learn anything there at all!
PS - Why is corporal punishment still legal in this country?

Twinkle Girl asked:
If so, do people make fun of you or treat you differently? Did you find it hard to get into college? How often do people ask you what high school you went to? Is it difficult/embarrassing having to say, “I was home schooled.”?

No EMOS! asked: As I understand it- it’s a generic term for any schooling where the home is the centre for learning- and or via correspondence. is this correct?
If not please correct me and expliain your views on homeschooling.
