Talk to most hs parents and they’ll tell you that we want the government to stay out of our home schools. Getting financial aid for anything that involves our home schooling invites big brother to tell us how to use that money and in turn how to raise/teach our kids.
You can use the internet for tons of free websites where you can print out anything imaginable. Also, the Library is your friend.

I would not accept the money if they offered it. Why should the government tax me, then give me the money back because I took on the responsibility of educating my own child? This is a homeschool, not a government institution.

With the way the government spends money and the oversight they need to blow their liberal noses, why would anyone want a grant from them? Even if they did offer them.
As for corporate grants I haven’t heard of any and probably wouldn’t take it if it was offered. I don’t want to give anyone the right to tell me how to raise my children and if I accepted the money I would have to answer to them.

No…I don’t think so but you could go with an online school where they provide all the books and materials for you. There are several free online home school options….Kaplan, K12, Insight , Connections Academy….
Best of Luck!

If you take the word “grant” out of your question, there are a lot of freebies, discounts and contests available to homeschoolers. If your bottom line is looking for ways to cut costs, please re-phrase your question and ask again.
As to the specific question about support for literature, do a search for *free homeschool books* remember to use the library, and perhaps find a deal at book fairs like
If there are any philanthropists reading this who want to start giving grants exclusively for independent homeschoolers, I will not turn you down!

I’ve never known of government grants going to homeschooling families… but there are a lot of free resources and a lot of less expensive options.
Frankly, I think it’s best this way. The more you rely on the government to provide for you, the more control you are handing over.
