Can anyone cite a law that makes it illegal to issue a home school diploma?

I know that it is legal for parents who home school their children to issue a diploma when they meet the graduation requirements set out for them, but does anyone know where we can find this in writing for the sake of keeping things moving smoothly at my graduation in May? Can anyone cite anything that says it is not legal?

I don’t care about colleges. I’ve already been accepted to the university of my choice.
William O - Can you cite the law? That is what I’m asking for…

To give you the most accurate information, it would help to know what state your in.

Depends on the state laws on home schooling. Some require the child pass the state issued tests at certain points in their education. (IE WISCONSIN) If the child did not take those, then the diploma would not be valid. Check with your local school district about the specific things it requires of home school students.

Depends on the state. PA for instance allows only a home schooling association to issue a high school diploma.
