As far as colleges and such go, do they accept home schoolers? Or will I be looked down upon because of my home schooling?

I live in Maryland, would I be allowed to be home-schooled just the rest of this school year?

My mom offered to home school me but I’m in the 8th grade and I don’t want to miss out on the high school experience. So would I be able to be home-schooled for the last quarter this year?

Can my parents force me to home school?

My parents are Christian Fundamentalists on the borderline of cult status. I’m an atheist, I’ve been home schooled for 3 years and I hate it with passion. I just want to go back to school so I can socialize with people not at church. I’m taught by a computer program with little to no interaction from my mother. My parents don’t care and there’s nothing that can convince them other than force. Is it legal for them to continue to home school me despite the poor education quality and my extreme animosity toward it?

Where can I find home school demographics and statistics?

My company is considering moving one of our products into the home school market, but we’re trying to do our due diligence and find out if this is a good move.

So does anyone know of a reliable source for these type of data?

For a variety of reasons, I’ve decided to home school my 2 boys next year. They are 8 & 11 and will be doing a mix of 4th - 6th grades between them. I’ve been looking at a variety of home school curricula and would like something computer based.

What are some good systems out there? I really liked Switched-on Schoolhouse, but would prefer something less religious based. Is there anything out there that will allow me to mix the grades a little bit?

Will I still be able to get my high school diploma if I am home schooled for the last semester of 8th grade?

Okay so I am in 7th grade and I have been home schooled my whole life. My mom is thinking about putting me and my sister (she’s in 7th grade also) into public school for 8th grade. I’m scared because I’ve never experienced it before and because I might get picked on. Help! Any tips or comments?

Should I home school and what web sites can I use to help me?

There is a much-cited statistic that 83 percent of home-schooling parents choose to do so at least partly in order to give their children “religious or moral instruction.” But I can’t find any data for my question. Anyone know of a study that determined the answer to it?

I’m looking for data, not anecdotes, but I would be interested to hear your anecdote if you home-school for “religious or moral instruction” yet also accept the scientific views of a big bang ~13.7 billion years ago and human evolution.
