who think that home schooled children have no friends and no social life actually prove this to be true? By proof do you personally know people who do? I home schooled my daughter though the 2nd grade because we just moved, and my daughter had friends. And for those of you who think home schooling makes a child have no friends are you telling me that school is the only setting possible for a child to learn to inter act with other children?

I really cannot stand the high school atmosphere. I hardly feel safe, and I almost never fit in with my classmates. While I realize that I’m definitely an independent person, the friends I do have are not in any of my classes. Having said that, are there alternatives to high school, besides home schooling? I’ve heard of online schooling. Does online schooling work as an alternative for high school? Can you use a private tutor as an alternative? What other choices are there?
